how to play bossa nova style guitar?
hey, ive been playing guitar for about 2 years or so, and bossa nova music caught my ear, but i cant pick up the rhythm, can someone tell me?
the rhythm is all strange :
I feel ya man. The chords are hard enough – but then you realize how hard it is to syncopate it.
I don’t know if you use a book but there are a few good ones – I got Brazilian Rhythms for Guitar.
the key is to isolate each little rhythm bar and count…sound it out before you even play – take it one little rhythm at a time. Truthfully I haven’t even made it past the second rhythm but here is the secret – LOOP it with Audacity – its free.
but buy a book/cd first – it’s only like 12 dollars.
