A Piano And Organ Are Both Keyboard Instruments

A piano and organ are musical instruments using a keyboard. But there are lots of differences between these instruments because of the distinctive features of a piano compared to an organ. The ease in playing the instruments alone can make a grand instrument and a keyboard unique and differ from each other. Some would say that it is easier to play an organ since the keys are light to touch while a playing a grand instrument requires a harder strike on the keys to produce sounds.

So that approves the statement of some music instructors that if one intends to learn how to play a keyboard musical instrument, it is better to start with a grand instrument. It will be easier then to play the keyboard once a person already knows how to play the instrument.

One of the differences between a grand instrument and a keyboard is that a musical instrument is a percussion instrument that creates sounds through striking the keys which are attached to a hammer with strings held in tension. A keyboard, on the other hand, plays recorded sounds with fancy options.

A musical instrument only has one definite sound with highness or lowness nature. It depends on the requirement of the piece whether to use the high-toned keys or the low-toned keys.

A keyboard, on the other hand, has different electronic sounds to choose from. It can be played solely without the use of other instruments to create a piece. It is equipped with accompaniments to make a person play the music like a pro.

Musicians or music lovers prefer a grand instrument over a musical keyboard because the music is expressed more with emotions when played through a grand instrument while playing a keyboard has a fancy touch which sometimes defeat the real essence of the song.
