Bader Field currently has got a festive look following years of neglect as the Dave Matthews Band Caravan members move into action here in Atlantic City. Local residents are thrilled to see the defunct airport being given a complete transformation to create space for the big event that will last 3 days here before going on to other places. This place was untouched for a long time until now and it had converted into an illegal dump of sorts over the period, as stated by a report on the Press of Atlantic City website.

Sprucing Up the Site

A whole lot of work has gone into getting Bader Field ready for the band but it has been worthwhile. The bulk of the effort was carried out by the Public Works Department here. As early as February this year when the concert was verified, workers started cleaning up more than 300 tons of waste that had gathered here. After weeding the site, hauling off the damaged barbed wire fencing and cutting back the overgrown bushes, the Department has definitely improved the once unattractive Braden Fields into a level open ground that will be excellent for holding these kinds of activities. The ground has been regraded and landscaped also in a bid to create a positive impression of Atlantic City, according to the article.

Officials hope that the Dave Matthews Band Caravan will give the site some much needed positive publicity and that this will help Atlantic City tourism as well.
