Correct spelling – Sérgio or Sergio Mendes?
What is the correct spelling of the famous Bossa Nova artist from Brazil – is it Sérgio Mendes or Sergio Mendes?
(I know it is not Mendez)
Or is he Sérgio Mendes but his band is spelt as ‘Sergio Mendes and Brasil ’66′
The internet makes things confusing -example Jose Feliciano is a popular spelling found on the internet but it is wrong
I have seen both but if you google his name you will see the spelling without the accent on the ‘e’ is the most prevalent.
