Music concert is enjoyed by everyone. The energy is high and people have a lot of fun. A concert playing good and appealing music is enjoyable both to the audience and the musicians. Mostly, professional musicians participate is such concerts, but in recent times there is a evolving trend of community concerts which is arranged by a town or a city and young, talented amateur musicians get to perform and showcase their talent.

The name of our band is “Passion” and we were lucky to have participated in a community concert. Our group consists of five members. Each member of the group is a talented musician and we are very committed towards our music and perhaps that is the reason that we have named our band “Passion”. Last year as part of community work we as a class went to an orphanage in the vicinity to assist the children with their studies and other activity. We could gather that the resources existing in the orphanage were constrained, particularly the library. It required books, stationary and some furniture in order to equip the library of the orphanage. Therefore our class decided to participate in various activities during the summer break and raise fund for the orphanage. And children from the class got into groups and started working on different projects.

We as a band decided to organize a music concert, which will not only help us exhibit our talent to everyone but will also allow us to raise enough money to give in the orphanage. However, we were absolutely unaware about how to begin and whom to contact in order to arrange this big event which we had pictured in our mind. After a lot of thought we decided to contact the Mayor of the city who could be a great help to us organize this big event. One of the band member’s uncle was an acquaintance with the city Mayor. He helped us arrange a meeting with him. At the meeting the mayor was thoroughly impressed by our idea and immediately decided to extend all possible help from his side. He also suggested that the venue of the concert should be the city Community centre. We were given remarkable plans on how to contact the sponsors, to get publicity for the event as well as ways regarding the sale and purchase of tickets. All this activity regarding the event was supervised by the professional and within a month our band was going live on stage to perform for a crowd of over two thousand.

All the preparation of the concert was going on very well and we were putting in a lot of hard work to practice the song for the event. Just a day before the concert there was a heavy downpour. We were still practicing at the centre when all of those present there saw a gush of water seeping through the roof. There were some big cracks in the roof and we could easily guess that is not instantly repaired the entire hall would be flooded with water. Therefore the organizers wasted no time and immediately called Mobile roofers. We were very relieved that they quickly responded to our call and instantly came and began the repair work.

As the roof was being repaired another problem came up. The visitor toilet attached to the community centre was in the basement of the building started to flood. The pipes were broken and the entire bathroom was full of water. In order to deal with the situation Mobile plumbers were contacted.

As the plumbers and roofers were doing their respective repair work, we could notice that there could be a possible electrical problem as well. The community centre was an old building and the electrical wiring was not so strong. Due to the dampness in the building as a result of excessive rain there was a chance of electrical short –circuit. So, to deal with this problem before hand we called Mobile electricians.

Luckily all the problems related to the damaged roof, plumbing and electrical issue was dealt in time. All of us panicked but just hours before the commencement of the program all problems were solved. We were a little unsure about the turnout of the audience at the show because of excessive rain. However, the response was satisfying and the community centre was packed with people. The excitement of the crowd was very touching which exhilarated our own performance. The entire concert was a huge success and everything went on as we had envisaged the entire event.
