Pure pitch method review

“Perfect Pitch” seems to be a hotly debated topic. Some claim that you can only be born with it, while others say it can be learned. Created by music pro Ryan Cameron, the Pure Pitch Method is a step-by-step course designed to teach you how to master pitch recognition in under six weeks. I’ve got to commend Ryan for this course, I had difficulty as a musician for years before really learning how to recognize ptich. I actually got a lot better as a musician after I mastered pitch recognition, and it really improved my guitar playing even though I didn’t actually work on guitar techniques.

Ok, so what do you get? Great question. This course comes in two disctinct parts. The first is the eBook, and that contains 120 pages of lessons and information. This may feel like information overload when you first see it, but try to just focus on one lesson at a time. In fact, every lesson in this course simply builds on the last one, so you can get the best use of the course by learning each lesson completely before moving on.

The manual is actauly broken up into two sections, Note Recognition and Chord Recognition. The course discusses each one in great detail, and talks about each separately.

There are 39 audio lessons that go along with the lesson in the manual. How long will the course take? That really depends on how comfortable you are with your progress, but six weeks is a pretty good ballpark. I took 8 weeks to finish the course, but I was on vacation for part of that. My lead guitarist finished it in 4 weeks.

How about downsides? Yes, there are two. This course is only available in English, so if you do not understand English this course isn’t for you. However, if you can read and understand my writing right now, you’ll be fine. The second item to note is that you get the Manual in electronic form as an eBook. At first I thought I wanted to get a hardcover book shipped to me.
