Getting Custom Leather Guitar Straps Produced The Most Effective Way

Tags: ,

Guitar straps aren’t just a hanger you play your guitar from. So what am I talking about? Custom leather guitar straps are a cut above any standard strap you’d find off the shelf.

We play the guitar as an extension of what we feel or what we believe and to share those expressions with others.  How your guitar strap appears should reflect many of the same messages you portray in your music.

What would you think of a biker out on the street without their leathers? Looks out of place, right? I know that when I see a biker out on the road or highway wearing shorts and a T-shirt or something like that, it just doesn’t look right to me.

It is just like when you see a musician with a beautiful and expensive guitar slinging it around with a cheap off the shelf guitar strap, there isn’t anything about it that looks right.

Why leather? Leather makes a statement that no other material can make – it says tough and resolute, it says I mean business and it looks professional.

Making it Your Own

What you have your strap made to look like that is all up to you and your budget constraints. You can have pointy studs, round studs, rhinestones, embroidery, different colors and the list goes on as far as your creativity will take you.

Be remembered by your audience with your name, initials or your bands name emblazoned onto your guitar strap.

Generally speaking they can be any size you’d like but the most popular sizes are up to fifty-three inches long and up to four inches wide.

The Options You Have

Comfort is optional, if you can believe that, because it really is a necessity rather than an option.  That is one of the many cool things about getting your own custom leather strap created, however much padding you want or need is completely up to you.

Leather also can be cut in any shape or length you’d like. Would you like a comet or star to appear to be blazing through space, it can be done – your imagination is really the only limiting factor. Want it six inches wide and sixty inches long? Consider it done, as long as your wallet agrees you can have whatever you want.

Good Hardware

A guitar strap isn’t anything complex – it’s like a belt for your guitar. Leather strap with some buckles and a few other pieces of hardware, but you’ve heard the saying that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, right? Hardware for your strap is no different – don’t drop top dollar on the strap and then go cheap on the hardware otherwise you have s really nice looking, but junky strap.

A custom strap isn’t something you have made very often, it’s not every day that is for sure and most likely not every year.  You won’t be doing it often, so take some time to enjoy creating just what you want.  What really is important here, though, is that you get a quality guitar strap made just the way you wanted it and are totally happy with it. If you get that, then you’ll enjoy it for years to come.
