Gospel Sheet Music
Playing the piano relaxes me. When I sit down at the piano, I know that the music will rejuvenated my spirit and in about an hour, I’ll be ready to take on (if not the world) at least my daily chores. When I required solace and comfort or just a jump start to my day, I would take out my gospel sheet music. I’ve taken out my gospel sheet music quite a bit over the years, but as I’ve aged, I’ve added to my collection.
I lost both of my parents inside of three years, and at the funeral mom’s friend sang “The Old Rugged Cross.”Mom’s been gone for years, but every September on her anniversary I feel her presence so I sit down and play that beautiful hymn. It feel as if she is right here with me and that she just requested that I play her favorite song. When mom visited she would ask me to play the piano and I would go from Broadways Show tunes to her favorite song in a matter of minutes. Her song was “Old Rugged Cross”.
When my dad passed away, I had only to play “His Eye is On the Sparrow” to feel less alone. I love all kinds of sheet music, but I don’t need ‘all kinds of music’ in quite the same way I need the gospel sheet music. Playing gospel hymns reconnects me to the really importmant people in my life who are gone, and I have only to play the music to feel them into my life again.
Gospel sheet music is an easy way for me to feel good about the world and me. Gospel music touches a cord in my soul and I feel really connected to my family and friends. There is an endless supply of gospel sheet music becuase so many songwriters have chosen to write gospel music. To learn more visit the following website: www. song-music-sheet.com
