ITunes To Lose Out To Spotify
There seem to be a couple of Spotify updates coming this week that could result in the company rivalling Apple’s iTunes. If you are unaware of Spotify actually is then it is a service that allows users to listen to music for free. Well yes it is for free but you have to listen to advertisements every 4-5 songs and they make their money from the people that actually pay per month to have the serviced advertisement free.
Something that is very good for the people that are members is that you can listen to playlists offline which is brilliant!.
The two updates are as followed:
Social
It would seem that Spotify certainly realise that people that are really into the music and their service are very social people which is why they are bringing Facebook into things to make sure that you can send over tracks directly to your favourite friends. You can also have a nose in your friends playlists to see if there is anything you like, then pop it into your list.
Library
Now you can also add your very own MP3′s to Spotify which means that your offline music is now available along all of your Spotify playlists and these are automatically linked and made available even when you do not have your MP3 player with you.
America
One of the main problems with Spotify at the moment is that it is not available in the US, I don’t care I live in the UK!! In all seriousness it would seem that the service is on its way this year sometime, perhaps before the iTunes update in September?
It doesn’t matter if you are into your banjos, bass guitars or even regular guitars it doesn’t matter as Spotify has a song for you!
