Passing The Beginner Piano Barrier

Tags: , , ,

The fundamentals of beginner piano can be learned in quite a little while. After around 2 or 3 classes with a personal piano tutor you should have learned the proper way to find every one of the notes are and as well how to play some basic tunes, maybe even with 2 hands at the same time. I myself have made a video showing you how to play the basics of piano in just 10 minutes.

The tricky part comes when you start to play with both hands as one and you desire to advance further. For people that are learning with a classical piano instructor they will undoubtedly be given one or two of set pieces to learn. First you’ll have to learn to play the right hand part by itself. Practicing it time after time again until you can play it with no hesitation. After that you’re going to do the same with the part for the left hand. This is a touch more difficult for most individuals but after a bit it gets a whole lot simpler.

Now the fun begins… Putting it all together. You can compare that with riding a bicycle. One day it will all just come together but until then, you might find the learning process a little slow.

If you’re being taught at home with a home learning course or a dvd then you will nearly definitely be achieving mastery of diverse musical styles or genres at the same time. The essentials of piano learning stay the same though. Learning how to play simple tunes and chords in the right hand and playing a basic bass line with the left. When it comes to mixing the left hand with the right you won’t think it as complicated as brushing your hands while learning set classical pieces. You’ll be playing a ton quicker by doing this.

To become a bit more advanced in this style you will have to incorporate a tune in your right hand with the chords which you might find pretty hard. Or instead sometimes you will be playing just the melody in the right hand and you’ll be mixing the bass line and the chords in the left. It’s the mixing of the two things in one hand that you will find most troublesome of all but you will find that over a period of time this strategy will permit you to move on a lot quicker and will give you a solid background in piano playing.

When you’ve become talented then you will surely outgrow the study course and will then gain from attending regular one on one piano tuition with a personal teacher.
