Here’s afew of the events that are happening in London that you may want to keep an eye out on.

  • London International music show ’09. Going from the London Guitar Show up to upgrading to a full on music expo. This will be the biggest year yet, with additions of Drummer live, unplugged and Sound recording technology show all thrown into the mix to provide the biggest music event yet. Containing a master class from virtuoso shredder Steve Vai, and Blues legend Albert Lee on guitars, while Iron Maiden’s mad capped drummer Niko McBrain and Journey’s Steve Smith head up the drumming line up to provide all players with clinics worth venturing to. 11th June to the 14th June at the London Excel arena.
  • Nine Inch Nails. This has to been seen by all fans of Trent Reznor. What is the final NIN show in the UK before they take a hiatus that Reznor himself is the only man that knows when it will end, it could be your last time to see then. Supporting NIN will be Jane’s Addiction, the 90′s rock band, on a tour dubbed ‘NINJA’ -very clever guys? So if your not going down to Sonicsphere but want to wave goodbye (for the moment) to Reznor and co. O2 arena on July 15th.
  • Motorhead. The icons of classic rock Motorhead return to the UK in November to tear the place up. Rock and roll’s most hardworking band returns to destroy your eardrums with ‘killed by death’, ‘Iron fist’ and ‘Overkill’ -did i miss one out. Expect the usual great show from the worlds ‘loudest band’ and as Motorhead and Lemmy Killmister -yes, that is his surname show London how it should be down. With Girlschool, Motorhead’s notorious touring buddies who will rock harder than any male band out there joining them this is going to be a chaotic event onstage at least. November 28th at -you’ve guessed it -Hammersmith.
  • The Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards. Taking place exactly after the Download festival, do you need more of a reason to make your weekend longer? With performances at the awards fom Devildriver, Amon Amarth, Anvil, Saxon and Trivium, its worth going to just to extend the festival weekend. Taking place June 15th at the Indigo 2 venue.
